Editorial Standards

Our goal is simple: every factual claim on this site should be accurate, traceable, and useful to an Arizona policyholder. These standards describe how we produce and maintain the content you read.

Sources and verification

We base factual statements on official, publicly available, and verifiable sources. These include Arizona statutes and regulations, Arizona Department of Insurance publications, federal insurance guidance, court opinions, and reputable insurer documentation. We do not publish claims we cannot verify, and we do not invent statistics, case results, or expert quotes to make a point.

Whenever practical, we link directly to the source so you can check it yourself. If a source is not available online, we describe it clearly enough that you could locate it independently.

How we treat sources

We quote sources accurately and in context. We do not misrepresent a law, regulation, or policy to support a stronger conclusion. When sources conflict or when the law is unsettled, we say so. We distinguish between what the rules require, what insurers typically do, and what readers may want to consider when making their own decisions.

Content is reviewed before publication for factual accuracy, clarity, and relevance to Arizona readers. Older guides are periodically reviewed and updated when laws, procedures, or common practices change.

Corrections policy

Errors happen. When we find a factual mistake — or when a reader reports one — we investigate promptly and correct the content. Corrections are made directly in the relevant guide, and significant corrections may be noted with a brief explanation of what changed and when.

If you believe you have found an error, out-of-date information, or a broken source link, please use our contact form to let us know. Include the page title, the statement in question, and any source you think we should review.

General information, not advice

Everything on this site is general educational information. It is not legal advice, medical advice, tax advice, or a substitute for speaking with a qualified professional who can review the specific facts of your situation. Reading a guide does not create an attorney-client, doctor-patient, or professional relationship of any kind.

Independence and advertising

Editorial content is produced independently of any advertiser, insurer, or affiliate. We do not accept payment to alter factual coverage, and we do not publish sponsored content disguised as editorial guidance. Any affiliations or ownership interests are disclosed on our Ownership & Disclosures page.
